New Barjis rug collection to celebrate 18 years in business!
We are pleased to launch our new rug collection comprising of both hand knotted Persian rugs and hand-tufted rugs designed from our studio in London.
The Barjis Rug Studio is celebrating it’s 18 years in business and what better way to do this is by going back to our grassroots and launching a rug collection to celebrate the company’s origin, journey, and history. We started off designing rugs in 1999 and through the success of this venture – we launched our successful Barjis London womenswear range in 2011.
Barjis London has become synonymous with luxury with a soul. Creating work of the highest standard without compromising on our values and beliefs. Ensuring that everyone in the supply chain is being served well – from our suppliers to our loyal customers around the world.
The Handknotted collection is a collaboration with a respected Persian factory, who have been producing handmade rugs for over 5 decades. The vintage collection has a distinctive look – by over-dying the rugs in Barjis’s colours to give the masterpieces a modern touch without using the character and soul of the rug. If you want to create a modern yet soulful interior then these rugs will be perfect for your home. They come in a selection of 7 different colours – all one-off pieces in a variety of sizes with a rich history and character that will uplift any interior.

The hand-tufted collection was designed in our studio in London with a tone on tone effect which is Barjis’s signature style – bridging the gap between art and design. The modern rug pieces look like a piece of art with a gradient feel but functional to be area rugs or hallway rugs for your home or a commercial interior. The rugs are made in two different qualities: 100% New Zealand wool with a pile height of 12mm. The 2nd quality is a silk/viscose and wool blend which gives it a luxuriously soft feel – perfect for the winter months. They take 10 weeks to produce as all the rugs are custom made.
