This collection was inspired by the book; White Mughals, written by William Dalrymple .
In early 19th century. a young girl named Khairunisa
lived in Hyderabad in India. She fell in love with a British expat from East India Company.

The book reflected an era where the British embraced a multi-cultural identity and were not afraid to adopt another cultures sensibilities and lifestyle.

This book is about unity,love, rebellion, betrayal and a tragic ending.

The Rebellious Regal collection was hugely influenced by this book and the unity of two diverse cultures; British and India in the post Mughal era. The collection is an amalgamation of a colonial regal aesthetic with a touch of modern British street style.
