Barjis Taking the Ethical Route!

This year sustainability is our mission! We are reviewing our supply chain, sourcing materials and factories that take sustainability very seriously.

Being a small business, it’s not the easiest option. Sustainable materials require time, research and the cost to develop these are expensive. Creating work using natural materials, eco-friendly dyes and working with ethical factories is our goal. We have a long way to go but we want to give complete transparency to our customers.

With this in mind, we recently went on a sourcing trip to Italy. Our silk scarves are made in Italy and some of our fabrics are sourced from there.

We visited a small town called Potenza, which is in the outskirts of Naples. Potenza is a beautiful place in the mountain area and the views are breathtaking!

Finally, we allowed a day for sightseeing, to visit the ruins in Pompeii and try the famous pizzas in Naples!
