Whenever I travel to Dubai on business or pleasure there is always something new I discover. However what remains is the positive energy I get from the people who I interact with. Dubai has gone through some difficult times in this past couple of years, however, the optimism and positive vibes make me wonder that this place is resilient and will always reinvent itself.
The Dubai community and Dubai, in general, was made by the ex-pats and Dubai would not be Dubai without the sacrifice made by the South Asians who came in, sacrificed their lives, family time and worked endlessly to make Dubai what it is. In particularly the Pakistanis and Indians who are the lifeline of Dubai. Without them, Dubai would still be a desert.
I dedicate this post to my fellow Pakistanis and Indians who have contributed to the success of Dubai. I salute their hard work and sacrifices in the scorching heat to give us the landscape that we take for granted – as visitors and as residents.
